Neat!

Mind you, I think your (dynamic) maps are far superior. ;)

Nothing on the cost of airport to Paradise but if the cost of Kardamena - Paradise is €16 and the airport is pretty much half way, would that work out at just €8 :?:

Or is my paradise foolish? :vsarky:

We've only had to get a taxi in from KGS a few times, and I don't recall having to get one on the return, but the last time we paid 15 euro, but it was at two in the morning!! The other times were during the day and 10 euro rings a bell.

We paid 15e both ways back in June/early July.
We were told it was more or less the same the previous year though it could sometimes be a bit lower, maybe 12e, though we paid more that time due to booking it in advance through Daphne.
I think Taxis in Kos are quite expensive myself though I do apprerciate the seasonal nature of the drivers work. Although I couldn't swear, I don't remember it being comparably expensive on certain other Greek islands either, I sort of think it would have stayed in the memory if it was.
15 Euros for a journey of less than 10 mins seems a bit steep, even before the poor exchange rate.
Still, what can you do, it's not gonna stop anyone going is it?
Well actually we could try that airport bus if it ever emerges, which I would imagine is a pretty big if.

Durrh?

What's the point of advertising the service here .... then effectively banning all the likely customers :?:

Anyway, disrupting and undermining the local economy like that, the taxi drivers will carve up your tyres (if you're lucky!). :surrender:

This is a public board...perhaps some editing would be prudent? Chris.

I presume you are allowed to express an opinion :O so in that case I totally agree with Chas. I know we are all trying to save our pennies but that is no good if everybody on Kos goes bust just because we were unwilling to pay the going rate.

A journalist, quoting chairman of the World Bank, Alan Greenspan wrote:I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant.

Me? Image

I'm also with Samuel Butler, who said
  • "The one serious conviction that a man should have is that nothing is to be taken too seriously."

Maybe it's from living on the edge of the Cheshire plain .... everything I say is to be taken with tonnes of rock-salt. (Now that's what I call supporting local industry.)

Let those of us who have not accepted a lift to/from Kgs be the ones to cast the first stone. :ugeek:

Macey...this board is based on reasonableness etc. It woud be a poorer place by a large margin if your contributions were to cease. Keep your ideas and postings coming....please!!!! :!: :!:
