This website is focussed on Mastihari(Mastichari / Μαστιχαρι) on the island of Kos, in the Greek Dodecanese Islands. It is centred around what many regard as “the heart of Mastihari”.
The “heart” comprises mainly small-to-medium sized family businesses. It stretches inland from the harbour at its northern end, borders a corridor centred on the road to Antimachea to the south, and the beach and sea to the west.
This site is likely to be most useful to semi-independent travellers who value the qualities of pension-style accommodation over that offered by “corporate style” hotel s and “all-inclusive” packages. To this end the bulletin board is a core feature and the main communication channel for matters relating to this site.
